“Whenever an unbeliever does something good, he is given its return in this world. However, the case of a Muslim is that Allah stores his good deeds in the Everlasting Life for him and provides for him in this life on account of his obedience.”

We are also informed:

“Allah does not wrong anyone. A believer is rewarded for his good deeds in this life and in the Everlasting Life. However, an unbeliever is rewarded in this world for the good deeds he does for the sake of Allah but when he reaches the Everlasting Life there are no good deeds left for him so he receives no reward.”

Muslim with a chain up to Anas who related that the Prophet, praise and peace be upon him, said this hadith
