RECIPROCAL LOVE

“A Companion was with the Prophet, praise and peace be upon him, when a man passed and the former said: ‘O Messenger of Allah, praise and peace be upon him, I love that person.’ The Prophet, praise and peace be upon him, asked: ‘Have you told him?’ He replied: ‘No.’ The Prophet, praise and peace be upon him, said: ‘Tell him.’ So he went up to the man and told him: ‘I love you for the Sake of Allah.’ The other replied: ‘May Allah, for whose Sake you love me, love you.’"

Abu Daud with a chain up to Anas who related this.

THE SIGNS OF THE LOVE OF ALLAH TO HIS WORSHIPERS

Allah, the Exalted says:

“Say: 'If you love Allah,

follow me (Prophet Muhammad)

and Allah will love you and forgive you your sins...... 3:31 Koran

“Believers, whosoever of you turns from his religion,

Allah will bring a nation whom He loves

and they love Him,

humble towards the believers

and stern towards the unbelievers,

striving for the Path of Allah,

fearless of anyone’s blame.

Such is the Grace of Allah;

He bestows it on whom He will.

He is the Embracer, the Knower.” 5:54 Koran
