“I (Mu'azah Adawiah asked Lady Ayesha, wife of the Prophet, Mother of Believers, may Allah be pleased with her), ‘Did the Messenger of Allah, praise and peace be upon him, fast on three days each month?’ She replied, ‘Yes.’ I asked her, ‘During which part of the month did he fast?’ She answered, ‘He did not mind which part it was.’”
