VOLUNTARY NIGHT PRAYERS
825
“The Prophet, praise and peace be upon him, would offer eleven units (raka') of voluntary prayers in the latter part of the night. At the break of dawn he offered two short voluntary units (raka') of prayer and then rested on his right side until the muezzin came to tell him that the congregation had assembled.”
