DECEPTION
1621
“The Messenger of Allah, praise and peace be upon him, passed by a pile of corn and upon thrusting his arm into it his fingers felt dampness, whereupon he asked the owner: ‘What is this?’ He replied, ‘O Messenger of Allah, praise and peace be upon him, it was dampened by rain.’ The Messenger of Allah, praise and peace be upon him, asked, ‘Why didn't you let it remain on top so that people could see it? Whosoever cheats among us is not one of us.’"
Muslim also narrated that the Messenger of Allah, praise and peace be upon him, said this.
