“A man came to the Messenger of Allah, praise and peace be upon him, and was harsh in demanding the repayment of his loan. The Companions were about to take hold of him when the Messenger of Allah said, ‘Leave him alone, because the person to whom an obligation is due is entitled to make a demand.’ Then he said, ‘Give him a camel similar in age to the camel due to him.’ He was informed that there was only a better camel available than the one due to the person. The Messenger of Allah, praise and peace be upon him, told them, ‘Give him the better one because the best of you are those who discharge their obligations well.’"

Bukhari and Muslim with a chain up to Abu Hurairah who related that the Messenger of Allah, praise and peace be upon him, said this.
