SHAVING ONE'S HEAD

1685

“The Prophet, praise and peace be upon him, permitted the family of Ja'far to mourn for him for three days. Then he went to them and said, ‘Do not weep for my brother after today.’ Then he said, ‘Bring my brother's sons to me.’ So they were brought to him feeling like forlorn chicks. He then said, ‘Send for a barber’ and when he came he told him to shave their heads, which he did.”

Abu Daud with a chain up to Abdullah son of Ja'far who related that the Messenger of Allah, praise and peace be upon him, said this.
