“The Messenger of Allah, praise and peace be upon him, returned from a journey and in his absence I (Lady Ayesha) had screened a platform in front of my house with a curtain on which there were pictures. When the Messenger of Allah, praise and peace be upon him, caught sight of it, The expression on his face changed and he said, ‘O Ayesha, on the Day of Judgement, the worst to be punished by Allah will be those who copy the creation of Allah.’ So I tore it up and made one or two pillow covers from it.
