DO NOT RAISE YOUR VOICE IN THE MOSQUE

1748

“I (Saib, the son of Yazid) was in the mosque when someone hit me with a pebble. I looked up and saw it was Omar son of Khattab. He asked me, ‘Go and bring those two to me.’ When I brought them to him he asked, ‘Where are you from?’ They replied, ‘We are from Taif.’ He told them, ‘Had you belonged to this the town I would have punished you for raising your voices in the Mosque of the Prophet, praise and peace be upon him.’"
