“Grant shelter to whosoever asks for it in the Name of Allah. Give to whosoever asks in the Name of Allah. Respond to whosoever invites you. Reciprocate someone's good gesture but if you cannot afford it then pray for him until you are satisfied that you have returned the favor adequately.”

Abu Daud and Nisa'i with a chain up to ibn Omar who related that the Messenger of Allah, praise and peace be upon him, said this.
