A SINFUL SUPPLICATION

1534

“A worshiper's supplication continues to be accepted so long as he does not supplicate for something sinful or something which would sever the ties of kinship and he is not impatient. Someone asked: ‘O Messenger of Allah, praise and peace be upon him, what is meant by impatience?’ He answered, ‘A supplicant saying: I have supplicated and supplicated but my supplication has not been answered, and thereafter becomes disappointed and gives up supplicating.’"

Muslim narrated that the Messenger of Allah, praise and peace be upon him, said this.
