“The family of the Prophet, may Allah be pleased with them, never ate their fill of barley bread upon two consecutive days until after he passed away.”

We are also told:

“Ever since the Prophet, praise and peace be upon him, went to Medina, his family never ate their fill of wheat bread for three consecutive nights until he passed away.”
