“The Prophet, praise and peace be upon him, had collatered his shield for thirty measures (Sa') of barley. I (Anas) took him some barley bread and rancid fat and I heard him saying: ‘The family of Muhammad having neither at night nor morning even a measure (Sa' of food).’"

“Anas added: ‘And there were nine households.’"

Bukhari with a chain up to Anas who related this hadith.
