“Allah respites a wrongdoer, then once He has seized him He does not let go.” Then he (the Prophet) recited:

'Such is the seizing of your Lord,

when He seizes the evildoing villages.

His seizing is painful, stern.'” 11:102 Koran

Bukhari and Muslim with a chain up to Abu Musa Ash'ari who related that the Messenger of Allah, praise and peace be upon him, said this.
