“He who gives me a guarantee that he will not ask people for anything, for him I will guarantee Paradise. I (Thauban) replied, ‘I give you my guarantee.’ Thauban kept his promise and never asked anyone for anything.”

Abu Daud with a chain up to Thauban who related that the Prophet, praise and peace be upon him, said this.
