Allah, the Exalted says:
“Children of Adam,
We have sent down to you clothing
that covers your nakedness, and feathers.
But the clothing of piety – that is better.” 7:26 Koran
“… He has given you garments
to protect you from the heat,
and garments to protect you
from your own violence…” 16:81 Koran

“The Prophet, praise and peace be upon him, was of medium height. I (Bra’a) saw him wearing a red cloak. I have never seen anyone more elegant.”
Bukhari and Muslim with a chain up to Bra'a who related this.
