“The Prophet, praise and peace be upon him, supplicated at a funeral saying, ‘O Allah, forgive our living and our dead, our young ones and our elderly, and our males and our females, and those of us who are present, and those of us who are absent. O Allah, he whom You have given life from among us let him live in accordance with Islam and he whom You have caused to die from among us cause him to die in the belief. O Allah, do not deprive us of the reward of one who has died and do not try us after him.’"
