“The Prophet, praise and peace be upon him, passed by some graves in Medina. He turned towards them and said, ‘Peace be on you dwellers of the graves. May Allah forgive you and us. You are our advancers and we are following you.’"

Tirmidhi with a chain up to ibn Abbas who related this hadith.
