“A man said to the Prophet, praise and peace be upon him, ‘My mother died suddenly. I believe that if she had the chance to speak she would have given away something in charity. Would it be counted as a meritorious act for her if I gave away something in charity on her behalf?’ He answered, ‘Yes.’“
