FASTING DURING SHA'BAN

“Occasionally, the Messenger of Allah, praise and peace be upon him, did not observe the voluntary fast during the month of Sha'ban, but sometimes he observed the fast continuously throughout Sha'ban.”

We are also informed:

“He observed the fast during the greater part of Sha'ban.”

Bukhari and Muslim with a chain up to Lady Ayesha, wife of the Prophet, Mother of Believers, may Allah be pleased with her, who related this.
