“Okaz, Mejannat and Zu Al Majaz were markets during the pre-Islamic days of ignorance. After the advent of Islam people thought it would be sinful to carry on trade and commerce during the seasons (of Hajj) thereupon the verse was sent down: 'It shall be no offense for you to seek the bounty of your Lord.
