“In the time of the Messenger of Allah, praise and peace be upon him, we would offer two units of prayer after sunset before the evening prayer. He (Anas) was asked, ‘Did the Messenger of Allah, praise and peace be upon him, offer them?’ He answered, ‘He saw us offering them; but neither ordered nor forbade us.’"
