“The Messenger of Allah, praise and peace be upon him, offered eleven units of prayer at night. Each prostration lasted as long as it would take a person to recite fifty verses.

Before the dawn prayer he would offer two short units of prayer and then recline on his right side until the caller to prayer came to call him for the dawn prayer. “
