“The Messenger of Allah, praise and peace be upon him, sent an expedition to Bani Lahyan and directed that only one out of every two men should join the expedition and told them that their recompense would be equal to one another and said, 'Let one out of every two men go forth.' Then he added, ‘Those who remain behind and look after the family and property of those who have joined the expedition will receive a recompense equal to half of the reward of the one who goes forth.’”
