@ 569 Witnessing 7:172-174
7:172 When your Lord brought forth descendants from the loins of Adam's children, and made them testify concerning themselves (He said), 'Am I not your Lord.' They replied, 'We bear witness (that You are).' Lest you should say on the Day of Resurrection, 'We had no knowledge of this,'
# وَإِذْ أَخَذَ رَبُّكَ مِن بَنِي آدَمَ مِن ظُهُورِهِمْ ذُرِّيَّتَهُمْ وَأَشْهَدَهُمْ عَلَى أَنفُسِهِمْ ألَسْتُ بِرَبِّكُمْ قَالُوا بَلَى شَهِدْنَا أَن تَقُولُوا يَوْمَ القِيَامَةِ إِنَّا كُنَّا عَنْ هَذَا غَافِلِينَ 172
7:173 or you say, 'Our forefathers were idolaters before, and we were the descendants after them, will You destroy us for the deeds of the vain-doers?'
# أَوْ تَقُولُوا إِنَّمَا أَشْرَكَ آبَاؤُنَا مِن قَبْلُ وَكُنَّا ذُرِّيَّةً مِّنْ بَعْدِهِمْ أَفَتُهْلِكُنَا بِمَا فَعَلَ المُبْطِلُونَ 173
7:174 As such We make plain Our verses in order that they return.
# وَكَذَلِكَ نُفَصِّلُ الآيَاتِ وَلَعَلَّهُمْ يَرْجِعُونَ 174
