AT TUUR 52 The Mount - At-Tur
1:1 In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
.1 بِسْمِ اللّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ
The oath of Allah concerning the reality of the Fire 52:1-16
52:1 By the Mount
52.1 وَالطُّورِ
52:2 and by the Book in lines
52.2 وَكِتَابٍ مَّسْطُورٍ
52:3 in an exposed parchment
52.3 فِي رَقٍّ مَّنشُورٍ
52:4 by the Visited House,
52.4 وَالْبَيْتِ الْمَعْمُورِ
52:5 and the uplifted roof
52.5 وَالسَّقْفِ الْمَرْفُوعِ
52:6 and the sea that is full
52.6 وَالْبَحْرِ الْمَسْجُورِ
52:7 surely, the punishment of your Lord is about to come,
52.7 إِنَّ عَذَابَ رَبِّكَ لَوَاقِعٌ
52:8 there is none to prevent it.
52.8 مَا لَهُ مِن دَافِعٍ
52:9 Upon the Day when the heaven spins dizzily
52.9 يَوْمَ تَمُورُ السَّمَاء مَوْرًا
52:10 and the mountains move, moving.
52.10 وَتَسِيرُ الْجِبَالُ سَيْرًا
52:11 On that Day woe to those who belied
52.11 فَوَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
52:12 those who are in plunging, playing.
52.12 الَّذِينَ هُمْ فِي خَوْضٍ يَلْعَبُونَ
52:13 On that Day when they shall be pitched into the Fire of Gehenna (Hell),
52.13 يَوْمَ يُدَعُّونَ إِلَى نَارِ جَهَنَّمَ دَعًّا
52:14 (it will be said to them), 'This is the Fire which you belied!
52.14 هَذِهِ النَّارُ الَّتِي كُنتُم بِهَا تُكَذِّبُونَ
52:15 Is this magic, or is it that you do you not see?
52.15 أَفَسِحْرٌ هَذَا أَمْ أَنتُمْ لَا تُبْصِرُونَ
52:16 Roast in it, bear it with or without patience, it is the same, you are only being recompensed for that which you used to do.
52.16 اصْلَوْهَا فَاصْبِرُوا أَوْ لَا تَصْبِرُوا سَوَاء عَلَيْكُمْ إِنَّمَا تُجْزَوْنَ مَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ
