AL QAMAR 54 The Moon - Al Qamar
1:1 In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
.1 بِسْمِ اللّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ
Those adamant in their disbelieve 54:1-8
54:1 The Hour is drawing near, and the moon is split (in two).
54.1 اقْتَرَبَتِ السَّاعَةُ وَانشَقَّ الْقَمَرُ
54:2 Yet if they see a sign (the unbelievers) turn their backs and say, 'This is but a continuation of sorcery!'
54.2 وَإِن يَرَوْا آيَةً يُعْرِضُوا وَيَقُولُوا سِحْرٌ مُّسْتَمِرٌّ
54:3 They have belied, and follow their own fancies. But, every issue will be settled!
54.3 وَكَذَّبُوا وَاتَّبَعُوا أَهْوَاءهُمْ وَكُلُّ أَمْرٍ مُّسْتَقِرٌّ
54:4 Tidings containing a deterrent have come to them
54.4 وَلَقَدْ جَاءهُم مِّنَ الْأَنبَاء مَا فِيهِ مُزْدَجَرٌ
54:5 which are full of wisdom; but the warnings do not help.
54.5 حِكْمَةٌ بَالِغَةٌ فَمَا تُغْنِ النُّذُرُ
54:6 Therefore, turn away from them. On the Day when the Caller summons them to a terrible thing,
54.6 فَتَوَلَّ عَنْهُمْ يَوْمَ يَدْعُ الدَّاعِ إِلَى شَيْءٍ نُّكُرٍ
54:7 their eyes will be humbled as they come out from their graves as if they were scattered locusts,
54.7 خُشَّعًا أَبْصَارُهُمْ يَخْرُجُونَ مِنَ الْأَجْدَاثِ كَأَنَّهُمْ جَرَادٌ مُّنتَشِرٌ
54:8 running (with their necks extended) to the Caller. The unbelievers will say, 'This is indeed a harsh Day!'
54.8 مُّهْطِعِينَ إِلَى الدَّاعِ يَقُولُ الْكَافِرُونَ هَذَا يَوْمٌ عَسِرٌ
