AL HAAQQAH 69 The Resurrection Verifier - Al Haqqah

1:1 In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
.1 بِسْمِ اللّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ
The outcome of the nations that belied their Messengers 69:1-10
69:1 The Resurrection Verifier;
69.1 الْحَاقَّةُ
69:2 and what is the Resurrection Verifier?
69.2 مَا الْحَاقَّةُ
69:3 What makes you to know what the Resurrection Verifier is?
69.3 وَمَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا الْحَاقَّةُ
69:4 Thamood and Aad belied the Clatterer.
69.4 كَذَّبَتْ ثَمُودُ وَعَادٌ بِالْقَارِعَةِ
69:5 Thamood, they were destroyed by the violent shout (of Gabriel),
69.5 فَأَمَّا ثَمُودُ فَأُهْلِكُوا بِالطَّاغِيَةِ
69:6 as for Aad, they were destroyed by a howling, violent wind
69.6 وَأَمَّا عَادٌ فَأُهْلِكُوا بِرِيحٍ صَرْصَرٍ عَاتِيَةٍ
69:7 that He subjected upon them for seven nights and eight days consecutively and you might have seen them struck down as if they were the stumps of palm trees that had fallen down.
69.7 سَخَّرَهَا عَلَيْهِمْ سَبْعَ لَيَالٍ وَثَمَانِيَةَ أَيَّامٍ حُسُومًا فَتَرَى الْقَوْمَ فِيهَا صَرْعَى كَأَنَّهُمْ أَعْجَازُ نَخْلٍ خَاوِيَةٍ
69:8 Can you see any remnant of them now?
69.8 فَهَلْ تَرَى لَهُم مِّن بَاقِيَةٍ
69:9 Similarly, Pharaoh, and those before him, and the ruined villages, sinned
69.9 وَجَاء فِرْعَوْنُ وَمَن قَبْلَهُ وَالْمُؤْتَفِكَاتُ بِالْخَاطِئَةِ
69:10 and rebelled against their Lord's Messenger. So He took them with a stern taking.
69.10 فَعَصَوْا رَسُولَ رَبِّهِمْ فَأَخَذَهُمْ أَخْذَةً رَّابِيَةً
