AL MUZZAMMIL 73 The Wrapped - Al-Muzzammil
1:1 In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
.1 بِسْمِ اللّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ
The merit of getting up to pray during the night 73:1-6
73:1 O you (Prophet Muhammad) wrapped,
73.1 يَا أَيُّهَا الْمُزَّمِّلُ
73:2 rise (to pray) the night except a little;
73.2 قُمِ اللَّيْلَ إِلَّا قَلِيلًا
73:3 half the night, or a little less
73.3 نِصْفَهُ أَوِ انقُصْ مِنْهُ قَلِيلًا
73:4 or a little more; and with recitation, recite the Koran.
73.4 أَوْ زِدْ عَلَيْهِ وَرَتِّلِ الْقُرْآنَ تَرْتِيلًا
73:5 We are about to cast upon you a weighty Word.
73.5 إِنَّا سَنُلْقِي عَلَيْكَ قَوْلًا ثَقِيلًا
73:6 Indeed, the first part of the night is heavier in tread, and more upright in speech.
73.6 إِنَّ نَاشِئَةَ اللَّيْلِ هِيَ أَشَدُّ وَطْءًا وَأَقْوَمُ قِيلًا
