AL 'ADIYAAT 100 The Runners - Al-'Adiyat
1:1 In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
.1 بِسْمِ اللّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ
The love of wealth and greed 100:1-11
100:1 By the snorting runners (the horses),
100.1 وَالْعَادِيَاتِ ضَبْحًا
100:2 by the strikers of fire,
100.2 فَالْمُورِيَاتِ قَدْحًا
100:3 by the dawn raiders,
100.3 فَالْمُغِيرَاتِ صُبْحًا
100:4 raising a trail of dust,
100.4 فَأَثَرْنَ بِهِ نَقْعًا
100:5 dividing the gathering.
100.5 فَوَسَطْنَ بِهِ جَمْعًا
100:6 Indeed, the human is ungrateful to his Lord.
100.6 إِنَّ الْإِنسَانَ لِرَبِّهِ لَكَنُودٌ
100:7 To this he himself shall bear witness.
100.7 وَإِنَّهُ عَلَى ذَلِكَ لَشَهِيدٌ
100:8 And indeed he is ardent for the love of good (wealth, becoming greedy).
100.8 وَإِنَّهُ لِحُبِّ الْخَيْرِ لَشَدِيدٌ
100:9 Does he not know that when that which is in the graves is overthrown,
100.9 أَفَلَا يَعْلَمُ إِذَا بُعْثِرَ مَا فِي الْقُبُورِ
100:10 and that which is in the chest is brought out,
100.10 وَحُصِّلَ مَا فِي الصُّدُورِ
100:11 indeed, on that Day their Lord will be aware of them!
100.11 إِنَّ رَبَّهُم بِهِمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ لَّخَبِيرٌ
