AL LAHAB 111 The Flame - Al-Lahab
1:1 In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
.1 بِسْمِ اللّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ
The punishment of Abi Lahab and his wife 111:1-5
111:1 Perish the hands of Abi Lahab, and perish he!
111.1 تَبَّتْ يَدَا أَبِي لَهَبٍ وَتَبَّ
111:2 His wealth will not suffice him, neither what he has gained;
111.2 مَا أَغْنَى عَنْهُ مَالُهُ وَمَا كَسَبَ
111:3 he shall roast at a Flaming Fire,
111.3 سَيَصْلَى نَارًا ذَاتَ لَهَبٍ
111:4 and his wife, laden with firewood
111.4 وَامْرَأَتُهُ حَمَّالَةَ الْحَطَبِ
111:5 shall have a rope of palm-fiber around her neck!
111.5 فِي جِيدِهَا حَبْلٌ مِّن مَّسَدٍ
