praise and peace be upon him. To celebrate the marriage, the Prophet, praise and
peace be upon him, asked his Companions if they had some food to spare and so they
brought whatever they had. A leather sheet was spread out and their wedding feast was
of dates and clarified butter.

When Lady Saffiyah arrived in Medina she lived in a house near the Mosque and a new
apartment was built on to the Mosque for her and the other wives of the Prophet, praise
and peace be upon him, welcomed her.
