heat of the sun.
After the camels had been attended, Muhammad went to greet Khadijah
and tell her of the trades he had made; to her surprise she found her
commerce had doubled. Khadijah, true to her word kept her promise and
gave Muhammad his handsome gift. Later, Khadijah spoke to Maysara
about the matter of the clouds and he too confirmed he had seen the same
thing throughout the journey. He also related the bewildering conversation
and witnessing of the hermit monk, Nastura, and told of the many blessings
they encountered upon their journey.
Khadijah had been deeply moved and impressed by the things Maysara told
her. Her cousin, Warakah, who was well versed in the scriptures, also spoke
highly of him and so she sent her friend, Nufaysah, to discreetly inquire why
Muhammad had not married.
His reply was simple it was because he had very little money to support a
wife and family. Nufaysah asked him if he would consider marrying a rich,
