The Prophet, together with his small army of companions marched on towards
Badr. Less than a day's march to Badr, the Prophet called for a halt and he and
Abu Bakr rode on for a while until they came across an elderly Bedouin. Abu
Bakr asked the Bedouin if he had any news, but the Bedouin was cunning an
