Abdullah, son of Abbas narrates that the Messenger of Allah, praise and peace be upon
him, sent an envoy with a letter addressed to Chosroes (Emperor of Persia) with the
instruction to give the letter to the governor of Bahrain (who would then dispatch it to
Chosroes in Persia). In due course the governor arranged for the letter to be dispatched
to Chosroes.

Upon receiving the letter Chosroes tore it up. When the Messenger of Allah, praise and
peace be upon him, received news of its tearing up, (it is thought that the son of Musayib
was the reporter) he cursed Chosroes and said that Allah would tear him and his empire
apart.

Abdur Rahman, son of Abd Qaari narrates that the Messenger of Allah, praise and
peace be upon him, stood upon the pulpit one day to deliver a sermon, and after he had
praised Allah, recited the witnessing of belief (Shahadah) he said, “I intend sending
some of you to non-Arab kings, so do not dispute before me as the Children of Israel did
before Prophet Jesus, son of Mary. Upon hearing that the Migrants (Muhajarin) said, “O
Messenger of Allah, praise and peace be upon him, we will never dispute with you.”
