Allah Almighty said: If I afflict a believing worshipper of My worshippers and he praises Me and is patient with what I afflicted him, he rises from his bed, that is as the day his mother gave birth to him from sins, and the Lord says to the guardian angels: I tried this one and afflicted him, so pay him what you used to pay him of rewards and wages before that

Allah Almighty said: Every deed of the son of Adam is for him except fasting. It is mine and I will reward for it. The fasting person has two joys: the joy when he breaks his fast, and the joy when he meets his Lord, and what comes out of the mouth of the fasting person is better in Allah’s sight than the scent of musk.

Allah Almighty said: Fasting is a shield by which the worshipper is protected from the Fire, and it is mine and I will reward for it.
