The hadith (what came about facilitating the reading of the Qur’an) (and in its recitation at night, the revelation of Surat al-Kawthar, the virtue of prayer upon the Prophet, may Allah’s prayers and peace be upon him, the virtue of Khadija, may Allah be pleased with her, and her foretelling of a house in Paradise). First, the hadith (Indeed, Allah Almighty commands you to recite the Qur’an in seven letters) was included by Al-Nasa’i in his Sunan section, Al-Jami’ (what was mentioned in the Qur’an). The Messenger of Allah, may Allah’s prayers and peace be upon him, was with the lights of Banu Ghaffar, so Gabriel, peace be upon him, came to him and said: Allah Almighty commands you to recite the Qur’an to your nation on a letter. He said: Allah, His Majesty, commands you to recite the Qur’an to your nation in two letters. Allah bless him and his forgiveness, and my nation cannot bear that, then the fourth came to him, and he said: Allah Almighty commands you to recite the Qur’an to your nation on seven letters, so whichever letter they recite on it, they are correct.

The hadith (three loved by Allah Almighty) was included by al-Nasa’i in his Sunan chapter (The virtue of night prayer in travel) on the authority of the Prophet, may Allah’s prayers and peace be upon him, he said: There are three whom Allah Almighty loves: A man came to a people and asked them by Allah, and he did not ask them about a relationship between him and them, so they prevented him, and a man left behind. With their heels, he gave it to him in secret, no one knows his gift except Allah Almighty and the one who gave him, and a people walked their night, even if sleep was dearer to them than what is equal to it, they descended and laid their heads, so a man of them rose up flattering me and reciting my verses, and a man who was in secret, they met the enemy and were defeated, so he accepted his chest until he is killed, or it is opened for him).

The hadith (The Revelation of Surat al-Kawthar) was included by al-Nasa’i in his Sunan, chapter (Reading in the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful), vol. 2, p. 133. While one day between us, the Prophet, may Allah’s prayers and peace be upon him, wanted to doze off, then he raised his head smiling, and we said to him: What made you laugh, Messenger? Allah? He said: A Surah was revealed to me above: In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. We said: Allah and His Messenger know best.
