The Messenger of Allah, may Allah’s prayers and peace be upon him, left the dead of Badr for three days until they were dried up, then he came to them and stood on them and said: O Umayyah Ibn Khalaf, O Abu Jahl Ibn Hisham, O Utbah Ibn Rabia, O Shaybah Ibn Rabi’ah, have you found what your Lord promised you true, for I have found what my Lord promised me true? Umar heard his voice and said, “Oh, Messenger of Allah, do you call them after three? Will they hear Allah Almighty saying [You do not hear the dead]?” He said, “By the One in Whose Hand is my soul, you do not hear from them, but they are not able to answer.”

The Messenger of Allah, may Allah’s prayers and peace be upon him, said: He will bring the most severe of people, who was a affliction in this world among the people of Paradise, and he will say: “Dye him a dye in Paradise.” Then they will dye him in it, and Allah Almighty says: “O son of Adam, have you ever seen misery or something you hate?” He says, “No, by your honor, I have never seen anything that I hate.” Then he comes. The best of people in this world was one of the people of Hell, and he says, “Dye him with a dye in it.” He says, “O son of Adam, have you ever seen good, the comfort of an eye?” He says, “No, by your honor, I have never seen good or the comfort of an eye.”

That the Messenger of Allah, may Allah’s prayers and peace be upon him, said, “When the people of Paradise enter Paradise and the people of Hell are the fire,” he said, “Allah, the Blessed and Exalted, says: He who has in his heart the weight of a mustard seed of faith, take it out.” He said, “They will come out stuffed and return to coal, and they will be thrown into a river called the River of Life, and they will grow in it as the seed sprouts in. Hamil the torrent, or he said in the bearer of the torrent, so the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, “Did you not see that it grows yellow and crooked?”
