h171
Take allegiance to me that you do not associate anything with Allah, do not steal, do not commit adultery, do not kill your children, do not commit lies that you invent in front of / openly and behind your back / secretly, and do not be disobedient in goodness; whoever of you keeps [the agreement] then his reward is with Allah. Whoever does one of the prohibitions and he is punished in this world then it is as ransom / redeemer for him. Whoever does one of these then Allah covers [in the world] then his case returns to Allah. If He wants, He forgives that person. If He wants, then He will torture him. (We also pledged allegiance to him for that).
h172
We pledge allegiance to the Messenger of Allah - Peace and blessing be upon him - to always listen and obey, both in difficulties and in ease, in a state of diligence or compulsion, even though we are oppressed, and so that we do not take matters / leadership from their owners, so that we speak the truth wherever we are , we are not afraid to be in the way of Allah to the reproach of those who criticize, unless you see [in the leader] clear disbelief, for which you have proof of it from Allah.
h173
Have you not pledged allegiance to the Messenger of Allah? (Then we stretched out our hands and said: We have indeed pledged allegiance to you O Messenger of Allah? To what have we pledged allegiance?) You worship Allah, and do not associate anything with Him, you establish prayer, you listen and obey [to the leader as long as you do not command disobedience.] (Then he whispered a light word) and do not ask people at all.
h174
(We used to swear allegiance to the Messenger of Allah to listen and obey he said to us:) in whatever you can afford.
