No, [that is, your faith is not perfect] for the sake of the One Whose soul is in His hands, until I am more beloved to you than yourself. [You love me more than anything, including myself]. Now O Umar [then your faith will be complete].

No one of you believes [with perfect faith] until he loves for his brother [fellow Muslim] whatever he likes - in the form of goodness - for himself.

Whoever loves for the sake of Allah, hates for the sake of Allah, gives for the sake of Allah and prevents/does not give for the sake of Allah, then he has perfected faith.
