Verily Moses said: O Allah, show me Adam who brought us and himself out of Paradise. God also showed Adam to him. Moses said: Are you our father Adam? Adam said to him: yes. Moses said: You, whom Allah breathed into you, Allah taught you the names of all of them, and He commanded the angels and they bowed down to you. Adam said: Yes. Musa said: What brought you to get us and you out of Paradise? Adam said: Who are you? Moses said: I am Moses. Adam said: You are the prophet of the Children of Israel, whom Allah spoke to you from behind a veil that He did not make between you and Him a messenger from His creatures? Moses said: Yes. Adam said: Did you not find that it was in Allah's book [Torah] before I was created? Moses said: Yes. Adam said: Why are you reproaching me about something that has preceded Allah Most High regarding the decision before me? (The Messenger of Allah then added:) Then Adam broke Moses' argument.

['Aisha commented on the dead children that they were like the birds of paradise. The Prophet also said] Or maybe other than that, O Aisha? Verily, Allah created for its inhabitants paradise, which He created them for, while they are still in the ribs of their fathers. On the other hand, Allah created for its inhabitants hell which He created for it, while they are still in the ribs of their fathers.

(Descendants of believers) Including following their father. Allah knows best what they do [if they are of age]. (Descendants of the polytheists) including from their fathers. Allah knows best what they do.
