(Abdulloh bin Umar) reported that the Prophet - Peace and blessing be upon him - when he opened his prayer (takbir while) raised his hands parallel to his shoulders, when bowing 'and getting up from bowing' he raised his hands as well, (from Abdullah bin Umar that the Messenger of Allah said) الله لمن ا لك الحمد (Allah hears the servant praising him, O Allah, praise be to you) but he did not do it (ie raised his hands) when prostrating, and when he got up from two rak'ahs he raised his hands.
