(Abu Humaid As-Saa'idiy) reported that the Messenger of Allah - Peace and blessing be upon him - bowed 'then i'tidal, he did not raise his head too much and did not bow too much.

(Abu Humaid As-Sa'idiy) it is reported that he said: Verily the Messenger of Allah bowed down by placing his palms on his two knees as if he were holding both of his knees, he also bent his hands and moved them away from the plates of his body.

(Abu Mas'ud 'Uqbah bin 'Amr) reported that the Messenger of Allah - Peace and blessing be upon him - bowed by keeping his hands (i.e., elbows) away (from the plates of his body) and placing his palms on his two knees and stretching between his fingers on his knees.
