(Abdulloh bin Abbas) he reported when asked about the way the Messenger of Allah did istisqo ': He went out in ordinary clothes (not nice or new clothes), humbly and humbled himself (to Allah) until he arrived at the prayer place and he did not preach like the sermon you (the long one), but he kept on praying and whining (to Allah) and takbeer and he prayed as he prayed on 'id (holidays).

(Aisyah reported that when it was not raining, the Messenger of Allah - Peace and blessing be upon him - ordered to put the pulpit in the place of prayer and promised the people to gather on a certain day then he came out when the sun was visible, then he sat on the pulpit and magnified the name of Allah and praised him then said:) Verily you complain about the dryness of your land and the delay in rain falling on you from its time, while Allah commands you to pray to him and promises you the answer to your prayers. Praise be to Allah, Lord of all the worlds. The Most Compassionate and the Most Merciful. King on the Day of Judgment. There is no god but Allah, He does what He wills. O Allah, You are a God, there is no god but You, You are Rich and we are very poor, send down rain on us, and make what you send down strength and provision for us until a certain time. (Then he raised his hands until he - Peace and blessing be upon him - the whiteness of his armpits, then he turned his back towards the people and changed the position of his turban while he kept his hands raised, then he turned back to the people and came down and prayed two rak'ahs. Then Allah made the clouds thundered, flashed, and rained by Allah's permission. He did not reach the Prophet's Mosque until the water flowed. When he - Peace and blessing be upon him - them rushing towards the place he laughed until his molars appeared and said:) I bear witness that Allah has power over all things. something and that I am a servant of Allah and His messenger)

(Anas bin Malik) reported that the Messenger of Allah - Peace and blessing be upon him - did not raise his hands in prayer except when asking for rain (istisqo'), he raised his hands so that the white color of his armpits appeared.

(When the Prophet - Peace and blessing be upon him - was visited by women who were crying [because of the drought] he prayed:) O Allah, pour on us rain that saves (from famine)
