[Plural is to collect the dhuhur asr prayers at one time; if both are done at the time of dhuhur it is called plural taqdiim (prioritizing prayer) and if both are done at the time of asr then it is called plural ta'khir (ending prayer); The same applies to the Maghrib Isha prayer.
