(It is the Messenger of Allah - Peace and blessing be upon him - when he is ready on his vehicle / animal he rides three times and then prays:) Glory be to the One Who subdued this for us while we previously could not control it, and indeed we will only return to our Lord. O Allah, we ask You in this journey of worship and piety and from good deeds that you please. O Allah, lighten our journey for us and fold it for us the distance. O Allah, you are a companion on the journey and a substitute for the family (left behind). O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the difficulties of traveling, from bad views, and from bad places to return to family and property. (When returning from traveling he reads the prayer in addition:) We come back, we go home, in a state of worship, and praise our Lord.
