If one of you breaks his fast, then break his fast with dates, if he does not find it then break his fast with water because it is pure and purifies.

(Anas) he reported that the Messenger of Allah - Peace and blessing be upon him - broke his fast before maghrib prayer with a few grains of ruthob (almost ripe dates).
