Qatadah that Anas radiallahu 'anhu had informed him that the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam performed umrah four times, all of which he did in not Dzulqa'dah except for the umrah which he performed at the same time as his Hajj, namely Umrah from Hudaibiyah or Umrah at the time of Hudaibiyah to be exact in the month Dzulqa'dah, and Umrah in the following year also in the month of Dhulqa'dah. Then he performed Umrah from Ji'ranah while distributing the spoils of the Hunain war, also in the month of Dzulqa'dah, and after that the Umrah he performed together with Hajj.

From 'Ikrimah bin Khalid asked Ibn 'Umar radiallahu 'anhuma about performing 'umrah before Hajj. So he replied: "It doesn't matter". 'Ikrimah said; said Ibn 'Umar radiallahu 'anhuma: "The Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam performed 'umrah before Hajj".

From Al Bara' bin 'Azib radliallahu 'anhuma said: "The Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam performed 'umrah in the month of Dhul Qa'dah before he performed Hajj twice".
