Our Lord "descends" every night to the heavens of the world (i.e. paying special attention) when the last third of the night remains, he says: Who prays to Me that I grant you? Who asks of Me that I will give him? Who asks forgiveness that I forgive him?
The closest servant to his Lord is in the middle of the last night, so if you are able to be a person who remembers / remembrance of Allah Most High at that time then be among them.

Verily, the closest thing between a servant and his Lord is when he is prostrate, so pray more.
