A man who did evil deeds and killed ninety-seven souls, all of them were killed unjustly without right, so he went out and came to a monastery and said to you, monk, that the other killed ninety-seven people, all of whom were killed unjustly, so does he have any repentance? He said: No, he has no repentance, so he hit him and killed him, then another came, and he said to him: The other killed ninety-nine souls, all of them are killed unjustly, is there any repentance for him? He said no, so he hit him and killed him, then he came to another monk and said to him: The other did not claim anything from evil except that he had done it. He said to him: By Allah, if I told you that Allah does not repent to him who repents to him, you have lied. Here is a monastery in which there are worshiping people, so they were accused, so worship Allah with them. So he went out repentant until, when he was halfway through, Allah sent an angel to him and took his soul, so the angels of torment and the angels of mercy attended him, so they disputed. In it, Allah sent him an angel, and he said to them which of the two villages was closer, then Allah sent an angel to him, and he said to them: Which of the two towns was closer, it is from them, so they measured what is between them and found him closer to the village of Al-Tawabin by measuring an inch, so he forgave him.

There was a man before you, whom Allah forced him with money, and he said to his sons, when death approached him: Which father was I to you? They said: The best father. He said: I have never done good. If I die, they burn me, then crush me, then scatter me on a stormy day. They did, so Allah gathered him and said, What made you do that? He said: I fear you, so receive him with mercy.

A man has never done good and used to judge people and say to his Messenger: Take what is easy, leave what is difficult, and forgive, perhaps Allah will forgive us. When he perished, Allah Almighty said: Have you ever done good? He said: No, except that I had a boy and I used to owe people, so if I sent him to get paid, I said to him: Take what is easy, and leave what is difficult, and forgive. Perhaps Allah will forgive us. The Almighty said: I have forgiven you.

The Messenger of Allah, may Allah’s prayers and peace be upon him, visited a sick person and said: Rejoice, for Allah Almighty says: It is a fire that I will pour over my believing worshipper in this world, so that he will have his share of the Fire on the Day of Resurrection.
